Venza Group Executive named VP of Marketing for ASTD’s Atlanta Chapter

(Alpharetta, GA – January 26th, 2010) Daniel Johnson, Venza Group Chief Operations Officer, has been selected to serve as the 2010 Vice-President of Marketing for the Atlanta Chapter of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), the world’s largest association dedicated to workplace learning and performance professionals. This new role is a comprehensible next step for a man who has made a career out of the development of others and the marketing of development initiatives. The VP of Marketing title is a result of Daniel’s frequent contributions to the Chapter, including involvement as a guest speaker and panel moderator to a number of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) events.

Daniel Johnson said this about his role as a new member of the ASTD Executive Board, “ASTD serves as the voice of the training and development profession and I intend to advance our message to Atlanta’s community of learning professionals. I’m convinced the organization can provide trainers, designers, developers, and learning leaders exceptional value and am committed to making sure the beneficial message of ASTD is shared.”

As Chief Operations Officer, Daniel effectively works with the Venza Group’s clients by utilizing his creative spirit, international sensibilities, and knowledge of industry-wide best practices. Daniel’s primary focus within the Venza Group is to facilitate internal operations so as to best serve client needs.

Contributing to professional associations and non-profit organizations is nothing new to Daniel Johnson; he has an extensive history of providing developmental guidance to the sector in the US and abroad. For example, Daniel founded Music for Charities (Download. Uplift.) and is the former director of Estancia Jatoba, an ecological organization based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Because of his familiarity with the not-for-profit industry, Daniel Johnson oversees the Venza Group’s Non-Profit Practice, accountable for client fulfillment and satisfaction.
